If you suffer from Fibromyalgia, you may also be having problems with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Some days are worse than others to the effect you may feel "married to the bathroom." Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a common digestive disorder. It is a disorder of the smooth muscles of the large intestine. It can be caused by stress, a diet that is low in fiber, and/or an intolerance to some types of foods. Symptoms may include: Abdominal pain & discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, gas, And at times, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. This is not only an irritation, it can interfere with your daily life. You never know if today will be a good day to go shopping, swimming, or whatever you have planned. I know from experience that this is not a syndrome that you want to talk about, whether to your family or your doctor. But if you do tell your doctor, there may be help for you. There are a lot of links on this subject. I have tried to find the most useful ones.
